1 Peter 2:5 calls the believers “…living stones,…built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood…” Pastor Ken Dew reminds us of the importance of the Church in society today, and that our participation as believers is vital for building up the local church for its intended purpose in this world.
This Sunday, Ps. Richard continued the message on the importance of being planted in the house of God. The church is where God's people will flourish. There is a tremendous potential in every single one of us when we refuse to look at our limitations. When these individual potentials are joined together, the church of God will reach its destiny.
God created the universe by His spoken words - this signifies the power of spoken words. Whether we want to admit it or not, we live in a negative environment. Most people have been told over and over again that they can't do it. In reality, someone's words can either crush a dream or build a great life. Just as we choose life over death, today let's choose to speak words of life, words that enlarge and empower people.
Join us today as we celebrate Father’s day. Modern society makes light of the importance of the role of fathers in the family unit. As a consequence, this generation is suffering the consequences of this worldview. Social science clearly makes the correlation between absentee or passive fathers with the prevalence of crime and violence in society. Pastor Ken reminds us again of the biblical definition and role of fathers in this sermon entitled “Faith for Fathers”.
