What made Christianity unique? Someone was willing to shed His blood to pay for the price of our sins. Innocent blood is the only acceptable ransom for our sin. Our Father gave up His own son Jesus Christ to pay our ransom. His blood atoned for all our sins, redeemed us and justified us to be righteous again in His sight. Truly life only begins after we have been washed in Jesus' blood.
God placed a conscience (con = with; science = knowledge) within all humans to lead and guide us towards the truth. Do we listen to our conscience? Or are our conscience seared and our senses numbed to the prompting of God’s voice? Pastor Richard Urbahn speaks to us today on the topic of the conscience – our last line of defence. Let this message challenge you, inspire you and wake you from your spiritual slumber!
As we come through half way of the year, the message this Sunday serves as a great reminder of how much our Father loves and values us. He created us in His image. When we start thinking of the complexity of our own body, we will see God's miraculous work in it. It doesn't matter what we've been through or what we've done, to Him, we'll always be the apple of His eye. If He loves us this much, then we too, need to love ourselves and others as much as this.
What kind of atmosphere are you carrying with you? Is it of joy and love or anger and depression? Acts 16:16-31 describes how Paul and Silas were filled with God's presence so strong it brought a dark and depressed prison to joy and salvation. The atmosphere you carry affects other people. If you are possessed for God's purpose then wherever you go, you will create an atmosphere where God inhabits.
